4th of July in Balboa Island

We arrived in Cali around 3:00 on the 4th of July so we were able to sit back and watch the fireworks from the pier on the island. By the way, I found a new love while I was on the island... anyone ever tried a chocolate covered banana covered in heath bar? Amazing! I do believe I had one every day :)

Balboa Island Beach House Vacation

There is nothing better than spending a week in the sun and sand with the whole family! The weather in Cali was gorgeous! 75 during the day and 60 at night, beautiful! We were in for a rude awakening though when we returned home and it was 118 degrees. That is no lie. 118 degrees folks.

5 years, 2 kids and 1 dog later...

Weston and I's 5 year anniversary is coming up on the 13th, (woohoo 5 years down, eternity to go) but I know I will probably forget to blog so this is like a little pre anniversary post if you will. It seems like just yesterday we were living the dating life and how I must say I do miss those days . And than there was the married with no children days... oh wait, we didn't have much of those. It was more like married for 1 week and than pregnant with psycho hormones the next! I do have to say we have had our fair share of ups and downs, but I would not trade them for the world. I am so grateful to be blessed with such a wonderful husband. It feels like these past 5 years have totally flown by. Brinkley is 4 years old for crying out loud. Geeze I am going to be saggy and gray before I know it! Oh wait, I already am saggy... ahh the joys of motherhood. Just waiting for the grays now!
